This conference offered treatment providers, policy makers, law enforcement officials, and the general public the latest information on marijuana and its impact on the developing adolescent brain, public safety, and public health. 


Dr. Christian Thurstone, MD: "Marijuana and Children's Mental Health - Why it Matters" Christian Thurstone is a child psychiatrist and addiction psychiatrist and associate professor at the University of Colorado where he directs the addiction psychiatry fellowship training program.

Dr. Beau Kilmer, Ph.D.: "Marijuana Legalization 2016: Understanding the Policy Landscape and Design Considerations"
Beau Kilmer is a senior policy researcher at the RAND Corporation, where he co-directs the RAND Drug Policy Research Center. He is also a professor at the Pardee RAND Graduate School.

Hon. James P. Gray (ret.): "Why Our Drug Laws Have Failed"
James Gray was appointed to the Orange County Municipal Court and then to the Superior Court where he served as a trial court judge for 25 years. He is the author of "Why Our Drug Laws Have Failed and What We Can Do About It – A Judicial Indictment of the War on Drugs."

Kevin Wong: "Drug Policy and Legalization of Marijuana in Colorado"

Kevin Wong has been a crime and intelligence analyst since 2003. Kevin joined the Rocky Mountain High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area program in 2013 as the lead strategic intelligence analyst.

James Mosher is a leading scholar in the field of alcohol policy and the law. He is recognized internationally for his groundbreaking work on policy approaches to the prevention of alcohol problems, including the role of alcohol law enforcement in promoting public health-oriented prevention strategies.
